OK some things have changed

I've sold the Silver VTR, and now I have a red one. This bike is also a Jap-spec bike, but the engine in it was in bad shape, so I changed it with a Euro-spec motor I bought off of a friend, after he binned his VTR. The Euro-spec bike has slightly lumpier cams and higher compression, as well as the CDI is a bit different.

I've decided to got he whole 9 yards with the airbox mod this time around and I've gotten hold of a set of used Moriwaki intake stacks and gutted the air box of it's PCV hoses and catch bottle, this should give me much smoother air flow.

Some pics

Here is the red VTR with the Spiegler LSL Super Bike bars installed. Getting there!!

Here is a pic of the PCV stuff I removed, I also removed all of the mounting point for this stuff,
so the inside of the airbox is much cleaner and there should be much less to cause any flow disruptions.

here is a view of the airbox installed on the bike with the K&N filter
held on by the retaining ring I made (see page one)

Here is a pic I found on the net, this is a custom fabricated oil catch tank for the VTR. It is for sale on Yahoo for 10,000 yen, but I think it would not fit with the airbox in place, so I will have to make my own

Crude drawing of what I think I will do for an oil catch tank. I'll build it out of aluminum.

I'll have the bike together soon, I hope, then I'll have to get on the Dyno and get some tuning done.
